    Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Presidential Search Committee members named

    Jacksonville, Fla. – Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Board of Trustees Chair Steve Moore today announced members of the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ President Search Committee.

    “Âé¶¹´«Ã½ has experienced extraordinary positive momentum in recent years, and few decisions are more consequential to the University than the selection of its next President to continue advancing its mission to educate students, conduct impactful research and support the needs of the Northeast Florida community,” Moore said.

    The 11-member search committee, chaired by Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Board of Trustees member Jack Boyle, serves a critical role. The committee will present the Board a strong slate of unranked, highly qualified candidates for consideration as the eighth President of Âé¶¹´«Ã½.

    The Board of Trustees will then select the next Âé¶¹´«Ã½ President, subject to approval by the Florida Board of Governors.

    “Chair Moore has appointed an exceptional presidential search committee comprised of people who care deeply about the future of Âé¶¹´«Ã½,” said BOG chair Alan Levine. “We look forward to a productive search process, which yields the best leader to guide Âé¶¹´«Ã½ forward.

    Updates about the search, including committee meeting dates, will be posted on the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Presidential Search website.

    The members of the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Presidential Search Committee are:

    On behalf of the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Board of Trustees, I thank the leaders who have agreed to serve on the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Presidential Search Committee. The Board greatly values the committee members’ service in this critical role.

    Âé¶¹´«Ã½ has experienced extraordinary positive momentum in recent years, and few decisions are more consequential to the University than the selection of its next President to continue advancing the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ mission to educate students, conduct impactful research, and support the needs of the Northeast Florida community.

    The committee’s work that will be chaired by Jack Boyle will be guided by the , and  It is essential that the search be conducted with integrity and in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Executive search firm Funk Associates will assist with the search process.

    Ultimately, the committee is charged with presenting the Board of Trustees with a strong slate of unranked, highly qualified candidates, from which the Board will select the next Âé¶¹´«Ã½ President, subject to confirmation by the Florida Board of Governors.

  • April 3, 2026 – Âé¶¹´«Ã½ will host public listening session for presidential search

    Âé¶¹´«Ã½ will host public listening session for presidential search  

    Jacksonville, Fla. – The Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Presidential Search Committee invites members of the Northeast Florida community to participate in an upcoming listening session as part of the search for the eighth president.  

    The listening session is an opportunity for all stakeholders to share their perspectives on the qualities and characteristics they think are important for the next president. Input gathered during the session will help the committee as it develops the presidential position profile and determines which criteria will be used to evaluate candidates.  

    In addition to listening sessions scheduled for students, faculty and staff, the University is inviting the community to join the following hybrid listening session: 

    Friday, April 10 
    2 to 2:30 p.m.

    Those unable to attend can provide input through krisha.creal@funkassociates.com. Search firm Funk Associates is assisting the committee with the listening sessions.
