READ USA Literacy Tutoring

The Literacy Tutoring program is a new pathway within the Osprey Teacher Residency (OTR) Programs designed to support Â鶹´«Ã½ students pursuing degrees in teacher education. This pathway offers Â鶹´«Ã½ sophomores, juniors and seniors an opportunity to become literacy tutors. READ USA, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving literacy rates among elementary students in under-served communities, will train and employ Â鶹´«Ã½ students to deliver daily, intensive literacy interventions to third, fourth, and fifth graders in Duval County. By participating, students will gain hands-on experience in the classroom while making a meaningful impact on young learners.
