MS Program in Materials Science and Engineering
Â鶹´«Ã½'s interdisciplinary Master of Science degree program in Materials Science and Engineering brings together more than twenty-five faculty from Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Physics and Astronomy, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. A list of the program faculty and their areas of research can be found on the Faculty page. The program also leverages the materials characterization facilities in the Â鶹´«Ã½ Materials Science and Engineering Research Facility (MSERF).
In this program, each graduate student conducts significant original research under the guidance of a faculty mentor, culminating in the completion and defense of a master’s thesis. The program is designed to prepare students for employment in a technical field or for continuing their education in a doctoral program. Please see the Admissions page for information on how to apply. Feel free to reach out to the Program Coordinator, Dr. Daniel Santavicca (daniel.santavicca@unf.edu), with any questions.
