Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach Service Above Self Scholarship
Purpose
The purpose of the award is to provide scholarship funding for Âé¶¹´«Ã½ students.
Selection Criteria
- Students eligible for such scholarships must:
- Meet admission requirements and be accepted by the Âé¶¹´«Ã½
- Reside in Florida for tuition purposes
- Enroll full time with at least 12 semester hours in the Fall and Spring semesters
- Be a junior or senior majoring in the B.A. in political science with a concentration in Public Administration and Public Policy, or minoring in Public Administration
- Maintain a GPA of at least 3.0
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Demonstrate financial need as defined by the University’s Office of Financial Aid, with preference to students who have worked or interned for a nonprofit organization or intent to upon graduation
- Be selected by a committee chosen by the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences
- Students awarded this scholarship must also agree to:
- Attend one Ponte Vedra Beach Rotary meeting to share about the impact of scholarship
- Comply with all University regulations, rules, codes of conduct governing students on campus
- Consent to release grades to the Division of University Development and Alumni Engagement for the purpose of reporting to the donor
- File FAFSA form with the federal government each year
- Remain in good standing as a student
