Dr. Mauricio Gonzalez Scholarship in Art and Design

Purpose

The purpose of the gift is to provide need-based scholarship funding for Art and Design students at the Âé¶¹´«Ã½.

Selection Criteria

  1. Students eligible for the scholarship awards must:
  •  meet admissions requirements and be accepted to the Âé¶¹´«Ã½
  • enroll as a First Time In College (FTIC) or transfer student accepted for fall admission
  • reside in Florida for tuition purposes
  • complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • demonstrate financial need as defined by the University's Office of Financial Aid
  • declare a major in Art and Design in the College of Arts and Sciences
  • be selected by a committee chosen by the Provost


  2.  Students selected for this scholarship award must also agree to:

  • enroll full-time with at least 12 credit hours in the Fall and Spring semesters and earn a minimum of 24 credits by the end of each academic year
  • maintain a GPA of at least 2.5 for junior and senior years
  • comply with all University regulations, rules, and codes of conduct governing students on campus
  • consent to release grades to the Division of Development and Alumni Engagement for the purpose of reporting to the Donor
  • remain in good standing as a student
  • file FAFSA form with the federal government each year
