Dr. Mauricio Gonzalez Scholarship in Art and Design
Purpose
The purpose of the gift is to provide need-based scholarship funding for Art and Design students at the Âé¶¹´«Ã½.
Selection Criteria
- Students eligible for the scholarship awards must:
- meet admissions requirements and be accepted to the Âé¶¹´«Ã½
- enroll as a First Time In College (FTIC) or transfer student accepted for fall admission
- reside in Florida for tuition purposes
- complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- demonstrate financial need as defined by the University's Office of Financial Aid
- declare a major in Art and Design in the College of Arts and Sciences
- be selected by a committee chosen by the Provost
2. Students selected for this scholarship award must also agree to:
- enroll full-time with at least 12 credit hours in the Fall and Spring semesters and earn a minimum of 24 credits by the end of each academic year
- maintain a GPA of at least 2.5 for junior and senior years
- comply with all University regulations, rules, and codes of conduct governing students on campus
- consent to release grades to the Division of Development and Alumni Engagement for the purpose of reporting to the Donor
- remain in good standing as a student
- file FAFSA form with the federal government each year
